What We Believe
The Scriptures
The Bible, as originally written, is the infallible, divinely-inspired Word of God. The Bible is the answer to Man’s deepest needs.
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
The Trinity
God is one, and is manifested in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:” (Matthew 28:19)
Sin and the Fall of Man
Mankind was created in the image and likeness of God. However, through the Fall of Adam, sin entered the world; and through sin came death, because all have sinned. That death results in eternal separation from God in “The Lake of Fire”.
“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” (Romans 5:12)
Salvation and Eternal Life
God sent Jesus Christ, His Son, to the world to pay the penalty for our sins. Whoever believes in Jesus as Savior and Lord has eternal life. Jesus is the only way to God. Salvation is entirely by grace — a gift from God.
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
